Up,Up and away with Claude Monet

Children will learn a little about Claude Monet and impressionism. They will  create Hot Air Balloon designs in mixed media. Using the hot air balloon designs, lines and shapes will be used around the edges symmetrically, with a drawing of a seasonal subject in the middle of their choice. Crayon wax resist techniques will be used, applying watercolor in an impressionist and Pointillist style. They will create a basket attached to the balloon with a character sitting in it.
