We’ll start with a quick lesson on collage techniques, observing how artists use collage in their work. Then, students will create an underwater background using acrylic paints, while experimenting with color mixing and a variety of brush strokes. Decorative papers, cardboard, recycled items, paints and art supplies will be available for cutting, gluing, and drawing to add to the background scene as they wish. A larger sea creature of their choice will be constructed to complete their collage as the main subject. I will have some visuals of these as examples.
