Description:  Children will learn about and use techniques to hand build with clay, and apply pottery glazes in different colors to create a beautiful and durable three dimensional work of art. Along the way, we'll discuss the basic process of creating pottery from raw clay and adding decorative elements, through bisque firing, applying glazes and glaze firing. They will also learn a little bit about pottery through the ages, and look at contemporary artists' work on display in the gallery.
