Paula Tessier, Oil and Watercolor

Paula Tessier is a painter, who works in watercolor and oils. Her work is both accessible and deeply personal, depicting a highly contemplative appreciation of nature. She earned her BFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California and the New York Studio School in New York City. She has spent much of her career as an artist and as a public health professional in Massachusetts, where she co-created an artist salon called the PAX Salon. Creating work from life experience is important to Tessier, and her captivating nuances of light and color are a hallmark of her work, harkening back to the bright light she experienced growing up in the Arizona desert.

Paula’s work has been shown in galleries, public venues, non-profit social service organizations, auctions, health care organizations and a range of community hubs. Her work can be seen at Gallery 302 in Bridgton, or by appointment at her gallery and studio, The Mysterium.
