I work in a variety of mediums - oil, acrylic and watercolor. For Maine landscapes and seascapes, I'm happiest working in oils using a split primary palette on canvas or cradled birch. I like to push my color choices in expansive directions. My current series of soaring landscapes - painted from the perspective of flying overhead - employ vibrant colors. It's a step away from realism, lending a playful aspect to a scene. I hold a BA in Fine Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University, and have continued my painting education through studies at Maine College of Art and in workshops with fellow painters. I am very pleased to be a part of Gallery 302 and exhibit among the many talented artists of the Lakes Region. More of my work can bee seen on my web site at including samples of my commissioned animal portraits.
