"Linda Cersosimo is an artist and a fine arts professor. She creates art in a number of mediums including acrylic, encaustic, watercolor, mixed media, collage, monotype, etching and silkscreen. She also teaches multiple art classes at Great Bay Community College, Portsmouth, NH, as an adjunct professor in the Fine Arts Department. Born in Boston, MA, Linda has produced art throughout her life which led to MA College of Art and Design where she received a Bachelors in Fine Arts in Art Education in 1976 and Master of Science in Art Education in 1982. Linda retired after a successful career as an art specialist in the Billerica MA Public School system, teaching there for 36 years. Linda enjoys working at the college level now for over a decade. She continues to share her love for the visual arts with her students.
Linda’s artistic practice has flourished in recent years, taking many different forms. She loves to spend time outdoors painting en plein air producing numerous works. No matter what the subject she records the visual aesthetics of color, shape, movement, atmosphere and light in expressive ways for the viewer to respond to and enjoy. Linda’s art work is on view at Gallery 302 in Bridgton, ME where she is an exhibiting member. She has exhibited her art in galleries and business throughout New England. Linda serves on the Board of Directors at the Denmark Arts Center in Denmark, ME where she is co-curator of the art gallery, jurying and installing seasonal art exhibitions."
