"My adventure in jewelry making began in 1975 in Boston's North End, at the North Bennet Street School. Through the years I have worked for jewelry manufacturers, repair shops, and even did a short stint as a pearl matcher. Today I experience true satisfaction in sculpting my own designs from metals and stones, and leave manufacture and repairs to others. Inspiration for new designs emerges as I glimpse lines, forms, patterns, colors, and shapes all around me. It may come rom the natural world, or from others' handiwork in any domain. Ideas bubble up in my mind at unexpected times like while driving, or sitting in meetings. Making jewelry allows me to capture feelings I cannot express in any other way."
