Janice Simari Siegel is a representational artist working in oils who takes inspiration from such artists as Johannes Vermeer, Umberto Bocciono and Paul Cezanne. She says her work favors color vibrancy in scenes from nature focusing on light and shadows. Siegel holds a BS degree from the University of New Hampshire and a Masters in Education from Boston University. She has studied at Maine College of Art & Design and the University for Southern Maine. Siegel is a Meetinghouse Arts Gallery Committee member in Freeport and owner/creator of The Studio at Two Chimneys Farm in Falmouth.
