The Bridgton Art Guild, a nonprofit 501(3)c, promotes the arts and local artists in Bridgton, Maine. Since 2003, the Guild operates Gallery 302, a juried artist cooperative, managed by 43 member-artists. The Gallery provides a venue for artists and students of art to exhibit and sell original works including paintings, pottery, photography, fabric art, wood sculpture, jewelry and millinery. As part of its mission, the gallery also hosts monthly artist receptions and shows, hosts the annual Art In The Park event on the 3rd Saturday in July, and awards annual scholarships to local students pursuing a career in the arts. Gallery 302 houses the Burr Chase Center for the Arts which offers classes and workshops each month for adults and children. Named for John Burleigh “Burr” Chase, a beloved artist who passed away in 2014, the Chase family created an endowment in his name to encourage artists of all ages and make art available to all.
