Nick Todisco

WOOD BURNING WOODWORKER

Hi my name is Nick Todisco. I was born and raised in the Green Mountains of Vermont.  My parents immigrated to the US from Luogosano, Italy, in the 1950’s and lived in Boston before settling in the beautiful city of Burlington. I married my high school sweetheart, and we have two wonderful daughters. Our family loves to travel and adventure outdoors.  In 2019 we moved from Vermont to Bridgton, Maine, with our two pups Moose and Barn. I am an animal lover and enjoy being out in nature, from which I get much of my creative inspiration.

My passion for woodworking began in 7th grade when I was first introduced to it in school. I continued woodworking through high school in a Building Trades program.  I was selected to work with a local carpenter during this time, and I am grateful to have learned through these hand-on experiences. Since then, I have been a hobbyist woodworker in my spare time.  I enjoy taking a raw piece of wood an envisioning what I can create based on the type of wood with all of its unique patterns and characteristics.  I enjoy making practical pieces, such as cutting boards and serving platters and make them unique with wood burned designs.  I have always wanted to turn this hobby into something more, and I am excited to be on that journey!
